IMPORTANT - New regulations for births from 1 April 2024 This brochure explains the legal situation for births from 1 September 2021 to 31 March 2024. There are new restrictions to claiming Parental Allowance. Top-level earners do not receive Parental Allowance. New income limits have applied since 1 April 2024. In addition, the possibility of both parents receiving Basic Parental Allowance at the same time has been newly regulated. Please contact your Parental Allowance Office for details.
