Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMFSFJ) Protection against Violence Strategy based on the Istanbul Convention  Federal Government strategy to prevent and combat violence against women and domestic violence based on the Istanbul Convention 2025–2030

According to the 2023 Status Reports on Domestic Violence and on Gender-based Offences against Women, the number of offences recorded by the police in these areas has risen in recent years. With the Protection against Violence Strategy based on the Istanbul Convention, the Federal Government has formulated verifiable goals for combating violence against women and domestic violence and underpinned them with concrete policies, resources, timetables and responsibilities.
