The recognition grant is intended for people who wish to obtain official recognition in Germany for their foreign professional or academic qualifications and who do not receive any other form of financial support. In particular, people working below the level of their qualifications with a low income can have the costs of the qualification recognition or certificate assessment procedures reimbursed. Insofar as further training is required in order to obtain full recognition, this can also be funded using the recognition grant.
